Alan Procter is a campaigner who lives near Tinshill Recreation Ground in Weetwood, north west Leeds. He has helped establish a number of community groups in the area, for example the Holt Park Residents and Harrogate Rail line groups. Alan has four grown up children and two grandchildren who have all enjoyed Tinshill Recreation Ground. He has encouraged local residents and councillors to oppose plans to build on it. Alan is a member of the Co-operative Leeds and Wakefield members committee. It has recently emerged that Tinshill Recreation Ground was once owned by Leeds Co-operative Society, Alan believes that we should protect the wishes of its Co-op owners and keep it open as a recreation ground for all to use.
